A true Dutch treat! Tulips are always associated with the Netherlands where tulips, understandably, represent the briefness of life, but they were first cultivated in Persia in the 10th century. The first tulips in America were grown near Spring Pond at the Fay Estate in Lynn and Salem, Massachusetts in the mid 1800’s. Fresh Tulips are typically spring bloomers, but now they’re available for use year round with global access to growers. Spectacular colors make tulip flowers a big favorite in the NDI garden where they last and last and last.
